Taiwan company Hannspree has released a gadget called HannsNote2, which positions itself as an electronic notepad with a color screen. The novelty received a matrix created using proprietary technology. It combines the properties of E-Ink displays with image quality comparable to IPS panels.

The 10-inch ecoVision screen with a resolution of 1200×1600 pixels supports a refresh rate of 60 Hz and is capable of displaying 16.7 million colors. Vertical and horizontal viewing angles are 120 degrees. These indicators are comparable to LCD screens, while the panel does not have an LED backlight – like E-Ink, it relies on its surroundings light.

An unnamed quad-core processor in conjunction with 4 GB of RAM is responsible for the performance of the gadget. The storage capacity is 64 GB, the novelty runs on the Android 13 operating system. The list of characteristics of the gadget is complemented by Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 modules, a 2 MP webcam and a 2200 mAh battery (up to 4.5 hours of reading, up to 3 hours of video watching or up to 72 hours of standby time).
