Journalist Christopher Ding shared the first results of Star Wars Outlaws in British retail. Everything is very bad: the game started only slightly better than the failed Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
It is worth clarifying right away that it is a mistake to draw broad conclusions about the cross-section of British retail – it is cited as an example because of clear and prompt reporting. However, this indicator still gives some idea of trends. And here Star Wars Outlaws is doing very badly: the game started 55% worse than Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and the disastrous Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was only 15% ahead of it.
However, it is not known how many gamers have taken the game digitally: in recent years, about 90% of the audience has bought electronic versions of video games. Given the recent decline in Star Wars Outlaws expectations at Ubisoft, it’s anyone’s guess and wait for the official news. The project, we recall, was ridiculed by gamers, and was accepted by the press without much enthusiasm.
