In the price segment “up to 30 thousand”, wireless charging is a rare phenomenon, almost a luxury. This makes it all the more interesting to get to know the new TECNO product. The smartphone immediately captivates with its configuration and spectacular screen. We tell you in the review what else it is good for.
The amount of RAM in our TECNO CAMON 30S Pro is 8GB. This value can be increased by backing up a part of the ROM. The storage is 256 GB, but it cannot be expanded via microSD. The MediaTek Helio G100 chipset installed in the new product is made using 6-nanometer technology. It consists of eight cores: two high-performance Cortex-A76 (2.2 GHz) and six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 (2.0 GHz). The graphics video accelerator is Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

While Tim Cook’s team covers up the meager equipment with a fig leaf of concern for the environment, and the samurai from Sony take away the charging cable from the user, Chinese brands continue to treat customers humanely. TECNO did not bother with trifles at all and equipped the CAMON 30S Pro to the maximum.
The kit includes a classic charging box, a cable, a protective glass, a wireless charging station, as well as an eco-leather case with a magnetic mount for convenient connection to the wireless charging pad. Moreover, its color depends on what color of the smartphone you prefer. Many competitors can envy such a generous set. If you need a second working smartphone in addition to the iPhone, the CAMON 30S Pro looks interesting. He certainly won’t seem like a “poor relative.”
Tecno Camon 30s Pro Design and ergonomics
The model comes in three colors: “Star Gray”, “Pearl Gold” and “Chameleon Green”. We have the second option under review. It looks catchy – the designers clearly did not restrain themselves. Whether you like this look or not is another question, but the gadget turned out to be recognizable.
The smartphone is large, but it is more comfortable to hold than most devices of the same size. This is the merit of the strongly curved display, which made it possible to reduce the width of the device, and the thin body – only 7.7 millimeters.
The back panel is made of coffee eco-leather, the coating does not slip in the palm of your hand and is pleasant to the touch. However, you want to take care of the light panel – the included case is just right for this. Note the presence of a red LED on the back, inherent in all gadgets of the CAMON 30 series. It serves as an indicator during timer shooting and video recording. The camera unit received a relief edging – another distinctive feature of the series. An LED flash is disguised under one of the lenses. The sides of the smartphone are glossy – without a protective case, they are quickly covered with fingerprints.
The TECNO CAMON 30S Pro fingerprint scanner is built under the screen. The body of the smartphone has received IP53 protection – the equipment is not afraid of splashes, but you should definitely not immerse it in water. The device is equipped with stereo speakers. On the upper edge you can see an infrared port for controlling household appliances.

The TECNO CAMON 30S Pro is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen. The diagonal is rather 6.78″, but the manufacturer rounds this value. The resolution of the matrix is 2436×1080 pixels, while the pixel density is 393 ppi. The edges of the display extend to the side bezels, so it shines in the sun. But it looks spectacular, it is pleasant to swipe on it, and the content does not crawl onto the sidewalls. On top, the matrix is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The maximum refresh rate is 120 Hz. The screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 space, and the color reproduction is rich. Note the excellent viewing angles, the margin of brightness up to 1300 nits, which is enough for most situations: on the street, it is easy to see text and pictures in the messenger.
Other parameters are also on top. For example, the sampling rate is 360 Hz, and the manufacturer also notes the response to the initial touch up to 1500 Hz. The screen of the TECNO CAMON 30S Pro flickers at 2160 Hz, so people with sensitive vision should not have any problems. The novelty has received certification from TÜV Rheinland. In general, the smartphone screen makes a pleasant impression: it is colorful, responsive and with a decent number of settings.
An old friend in a new suit
It’s no longer a secret that we have the MediaTek Helio G99 in front of us, which has received support for high-resolution cameras and some optimization. Technically, the chip has not undergone any changes. Therefore, the results in synthetic tests of the Helio G100 are almost identical to its predecessor. It copes with popular applications, the camera and programs launch quickly, but in resource-intensive games, you have to choose minimal graphics. We have no complaints about the operation of the operating system – TECNO CAMON 30S Pro does not upset with interface stammering and long program launches.
Tecno Camon 30s Pro Shooting with features
The main camera here is represented by a 50 MP Sony IMX896 sensor (1.0 μm, 1/1.56″) and a lens with optical stabilization. It allows you to quickly switch to a digital double zoom, but it does not have an optical zoom. The rest of the auxiliary modules are a portrait sensor and a depth sensor. The front camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels is equipped with an LED flash, which will come in handy in poor lighting. This option has long been basic in TECNO smartphones.
The CAMON 30S Pro takes good photos. During the day, in rooms with uniform light, the main camera produces a picture with good detail and rich colors, and in the dark, night mode and OIS support come to the rescue. Dynamic range is lacking in high-contrast scenes, but it’s worth considering the price point of the smartphone. Digital zoom copes well with light scenes, but during dusk and indoors, the quality predictably decreases.
When shooting in a multi-tone color and complex scenarios, the color balance may be incorrectly determined, but smartphones are often twice as expensive as this. Additionally, we note that there is a tricky option: a high-definition mode of 100 megapixels. In it, you can increase the contour sharpness of objects using an algorithm, but you should not rely on it — you will not deceive physics, 50 megapixels will not turn into “honest 100”.
