Lenovo has published firmware for the yet-to-be-released Legion Go S portable console, thereby confirming its existence even before the official announcement. Thanks to the leak, details about some of the characteristics of the future novelty also became known.
It is assumed that the Legion Go S will be a smaller and cheaper version of the Legion Go console. Judging by the content of the software designed for the device codenamed Legion Go S 8ARP1, the console will be built on the basis of an AMD Rembrandt processor (Zen 3+ architecture and RDNA 2 family graphics chip).
According to specialized media, the basis of the gadget will be the hybrid AMD Ryzen Z2, the exact characteristics of which are still unknown. The premiere of this chip is expected at CES 2025 from January 7 to 10. Probably, at the same time or a little later, a new portable console will be announced.
