A curious insider report has replenished the piggy bank of rumors about a thinner version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 with the Special Edition prefix. An image with the alleged design of the device appeared on the network: according to what we saw, the difference between the models will be quite noticeable.
The gadget shown in the render is in many ways similar to the original Galaxy Z Fold6: a body with flat edges, a “traffic light” on the back panel and a front camera at the top center of the external display. Of the differences, the most noticeable are a more massive “island” of the camera unit and a back cover with a texture of the color of raw metal. According to rumors, it may be titanium.
According to unofficial information, the thickness of the gadget when folded will be 10.6 mm, when opened – 4.9 mm against 12.1/5.6 mm for the original model. The future novelty is also credited with a 200-megapixel main camera and displays of 8 and 6.5 inches (the basic version has 7.6 and 6.3 inches, respectively). The date of the announcement of the smartphone is unknown, but according to rumors, it may take place on September 25.
