Toshiba built-in dishwashers are interesting both in design and interior: we tell you what they are capable of. Modern household appliances can be entrusted with most of the household chores. Including washing dishes, which it copes with better than a person, and without unnecessary noise and complaints of fatigue.

Design Matters

Toshiba built-in dishwashers with a façade mount fit well into any kitchen interior. To control the operation of the device, a color touch screen is used, located at the end of the door. It is not difficult to understand its operation thanks to the easy-to-understand icons with images of different modes.

The interior design is also thought out to the smallest detail. The standard 60-centimeter models Toshiba 16B1(B)-RU and Toshiba 14B4(B)-RU with three loading “floors” can hold up to 16 and up to 14 sets of cookware, respectively. They also provide seating places for bottles, which is especially important for families with small children. However, the device will also cope with “adult” deep glasses without any problems.

If desired, you can put not only plates in the dishwasher, but also larger dishes: a frying pan, a saucepan or even a baking sheet. You don’t have to win every millimeter: just fold the plate holders and the usable volume of the basket increases significantly.

In the narrow 45-centimeter modifications of Toshiba 10B2(B)-RU and Toshiba 10B3(B)-RU, up to 10 and 8 sets fit, respectively. At the same time, in terms of the set of basic functions, they are in no way inferior to larger models. The main difference between the devices in the series is the number of additional washing programs.

An important feature of all models is the Aqua Stop comprehensive leak protection. If something goes wrong, the water supply will automatically stop, the pump will pump out the contents of the working chamber, and the device will turn off, even if no one is around. This will avoid unpleasant conversations with neighbors and unplanned repair costs even in the event of an emergency.

The branded series also includes free-standing modifications. They differ from the “built-ins” only in the type and color of the case: for example, the Toshiba 16F1(BS)-RU is available in black, and the narrow Toshiba 10F1(W)-RU is available in white.

A practical approach to dishwashing

Buying a dishwasher is not only a matter of convenience and saving time. Technology is in many ways more effective than a person: it is not lazy and is not distracted, so it does not miss a single part of the plate or mug. In addition, it is more hygienic: unlike a sponge, on which dirt and bacteria accumulate, Toshiba household appliances use two methods of sterilizing dishes at once.

The Pure Steam feature allows Toshiba series models to generate steam for thorough cleaning of dishes and heat them up to 120 °C, at the same time disinfecting the entire contents of the cooking chamber. And ultraviolet radiation “finishes off” microorganisms. At the end of the cycle, the door of the appliance is slightly opened. This allows the dishes to dry faster, and there is no smell of dampness in the working chamber – even if the sink was started in the evening, and you take out the plates in the morning.

The basic functions are also on top: even in standard steam-free mode, the advanced design of two sprinklers rotating in different directions with a 720° coverage is clean. This allows the device to thoroughly wash the entire surface of the dishes, even if they are not installed perfectly flat in the racks. Water is supplied under a decent pressure, so that both dirt and detergent residues are washed off more thoroughly than when rinsing under the kitchen tap. And the water temperature is higher: the quality of washing increases from this, but the machine is not afraid of burns with boiling water.

In everyday life, Toshiba dishwashers are unpretentious. All you need is to pour special salt into the container from time to time to soften the water. When an “additive” is needed, the device itself will inform you about it using a special indicator. And the self-cleaning function helps to cope with food residues in the working chamber, so you don’t have to dive into the bowels of the device with a sponge at the ready. In terms of washing tablets, the device is omnivorous, that is, it supports the use of “3-in-1” products.

If you are not fully loaded, you can save on utility bills by choosing only the upper or lower sprinkler – depending on which compartment the dishes are placed in. In addition, even at maximum speed, Toshiba dishwashers have good energy efficiency (class A) thanks to inverter motors in the washing and drainage pumps. Their water consumption is also small: only 8 liters per cycle for 45-cm versions, and from 9.5 liters for 60-centimeter versions.

Motors of this type also reduce the noise level during the operation of the device due to the smooth change of power. The indicator of 40-42 dB is at the level of a working refrigerator, and at night the device works even quieter and does not disturb people sleeping in the next room.

A smart approach to daily routine

Not only phones, watches and speakers have long become smart. Even if a modern dishwasher will not tell you the weather forecast for tomorrow, it is much more convenient to control it without getting up from the couch than flipping switches on old models. Forgot to start the car wash after loading? It is enough to press a button in the mobile application without being distracted from watching the series.

Remote control also works outside the home. Remembering on the way to work, you can safely turn on the desired mode, and upon return, take clean and dry dishes out of the device. In addition, additional wash cycles are unlocked in the app.

If there are children in the apartment, it will be possible to secure the kitchen using the locking function. It is enough to hold down a couple of buttons for three seconds – and the dishwasher will switch to “safe mode”, in which only the power button works. This is much more convenient than turning on a separate switch or constantly worrying that the child will playfully turn on the device at the wrong time.
