Sales of the Honor Pad 9 5G tablet computer have started in the networks of Russian retailers. And for the first buyers, there is a special offer.
The Honor Pad 9 5G has a 12.1-inch screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, the ability to display 1.07 billion colors and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The tablet supports “Dynamic Brightness” and “Circadian Night Screen” to protect your eyes. To create surround sound, there are eight speakers, two of which are located at the bottom of the case. This solution allows you to reflect sound from a surface or a keyboard stand (sold separately).
The hardware platform is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, made using a 4nm process and supporting fifth-generation networks. The tablet has 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. An 8300 mAh battery with support for 35-watt charging is responsible for autonomy.
The tablet is already available in M.Video, Eldorado, DNS, MTS, Citilink and other networks at a price of 36,990 rubles for the 8 + 128 GB version and 39,990 rubles for 8 + 256 GB. Until June 24, the price has been reduced by 4000 rubles, and Honor Choice Earbuds X5 Pro headphones are offered as a gift.
The Honor Pad 9 is not your standard Android tablet. It may look like one, feel like one, and have the same wide aspect ratio display as most models, but appearances can be deceiving. That’s because Honor has created the most iPad-Esque experience I’ve seen on an Android slab, thanks to MagicOS on Android 13.
First, you have a gorgeously sleek, lightweight design, with an evenly balanced weight distribution that makes holding it with one hand a joy without a single hint of strain. Second, that 12.1-inch 2.5K Eye Protection display with a 16:10 aspect ratio is a colorful joy for the eyes. And finally, for whatever reason you’re away from a power outlet, the battery life in here is generously long.
To house that larger 12.1-inch display over the iPad’s 10.9-inch panel, the Honor Pad 9 is taller and wider. But most importantly to its comfort in use, it’s just as thin and only a touch heavier. Put into real world context, that means you won’t feel a single bit of that typical wrist strain you get from holding up the weight of heavier slabs.

Now, I know you looked at that IPS LCD bit of the specs and probably panicked a little. It’s normally hard to extract a ton of color out of IPS tech, and the cost of this tablet may raise more suspicions about its quality. However, those suspicions are quickly put to rest with the visual feast you’re treated to at a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
