Acer has unveiled an updated version of the Nitro V 16 gaming laptop, which replaced the “red” processors with “blue”, and also showed the Nitro V 14 model based on AMD chips. Both new products have received support for current gaming technologies, several AI functions and advanced cooling system.

The Acer Nitro V 16 (2024) is equipped with a 16-inch display with a resolution of 2500×1600 pixels (16:10) with a 180Hz refresh rate. “With the Heart” laptop in the maximum configuration was an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor combined with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 discrete graphics card, 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD drive.

The laptop’s cooling design includes two fans and multiple separate air ducts to maintain optimal device performance. Another feature of the model is the MUX switch for direct display of the picture from the discrete graphics card to the screen, bypassing the “built-in” to reduce signal latency.

The Acer Nitro V 16 (2024) is an excellent budget gaming laptop. It performs well, delivering a smooth gaming experience with consistent frame rates. The build is better than other laptops in its class. However, its battery life is unremarkable, limiting its versatility beyond gaming.

14″ Acer Nitro V 14 available with WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) or WUXGA (1920×1200 pixels) screens. In in both cases, the refresh rate is 120 Hz and the response time is 3 ms. The laptop is based on AMD processors up to up to the Ryzen 7 8845HS version in conjunction with the same graphics card and memory as the Nitro V 16.

Both new laptops support NVIDIA ray tracing technology and DLSS 3.5 scaling algorithm, as well as a quick launch button for the Copilot AI assistant. Acer Nitro V 16 will go on sale in October this year at a price of $1300, and Nitro V 14 – in September, and will cost from $1100.
